Peanuts

so yesterday, i'm sitting in the kitchen on the laptop...
o's playing with this little yellow stuffed dog that she calls nala...
it's all very sweet.

she's wearing a little skirt and a tshirt.
all of a sudden, she proudly announces:
"i have a penis."
me: "oh really? where?"
no lie, she lifts the front of her skirt to show me how
she has pulled one foot of the dog up through her legs
and is clutching it with her little tiny thighs
so that it TOTALLY looks like a penis.
the rest of the dog is back behind her.

how can i not laugh at this?! oh dear.
we have our work cut out for us!
i simply say, with as little emotion as possible,
"boys have penises and girls have vaginas."
oh dear. this is NOT the friday i expected. :)

she waddles to the bathroom, saying she has to go pee,
then comes back out and starts playing with other toys.

deep breaths. big day. soooooo funny. :)
